Scream Queens 2024

Scream Queens 2024

What a month! Over 400 film lovers gathered in Philadelphia to watch Psycho together and it was a night to remember. We continued the theme of Scream Queens throughout September and had one heck of a time. Fan favorites, cult classics and perhaps a modern banger...? Thankfully all of these can be purchased and added to your home collection. Have we mentioned we love physical media?

1. A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984)

The one that started it all. The amount of folks that will tell you Freddy changed them as a child. Whether he had a load in his pants or not is still up for debate, and now available in 4K maybe an eagled eye viewer can settle it once and for all?

2. Psycho (1960)

The one that started it all. Hitchcock's classic has never looked so good. Seriously the 4K is astounding. You thought you should test your new 4K TV with Terminator: Salvation? Nah nah cuh, put this baby on and prepare to be transported to black and white heaven.

3. Braindead (1992)

Peter Jackson's journey to Lord of the Rings is something to behold. Braindead is a must viewing for all the goreheads and kiwi lovers out there. We have never felt so physically ill watching a movie, and couldn't recommend it enough!

4. The Texas Chain Saw Massacre (1974)

The one that started it all. The perfect time to sink your saw into this one as Hooptober is upon us. Franklin is still annoying as hell and no one seems to know what happened to Jerry, but it's fine.

5. The Wailing (2016)

And now for something a bit different. Korean cinema continues to impress with it's genre-bending ways. Are you ready to laugh? Cry? Be horrified? Na Hong-jin's thriller brings it all.
